A Total Roof replacement in Port Chester, NY

When Terry & Mike called Double R A Construction Corp out to their Port Chester, NY home they were concerned about their roof. They had sustained some damage during a recent storm. What we uncovered was that when the roof was originally done (by another contractor) many years ago it was improperly installed over an unstable roof deck.

Solution

Your roof is what protects the whole house. It is very important that each component be the right material as well as being installed correctly. Our solution for Terry & Mike was to strip their roof down to the sheathing, remove the old unstable roof deck and install new CDX plywood. As per the manufacturer's instructions, we installed all the proper underlayments: Roof Runner which is a synthetic underlayment that allows your roof deck to "breathe". Diamond Deck is a synthetic underlayment that is water-resistant and helps protect your roof from ice damming. Completing the installation with new pipe flashings, ridge vent, and CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles our customers knew their new roof was not only installed correctly but all the proper components were used to give them the extended warranty that they wanted.
