We were called into a siding job that was 70% complete.  The homeowner was so unhappy with the workmanship of the previous contractor, that they removed him from the job!  We met with the homeowner multiple times and assured them that they would have a home that was a show case. We stripped all the (new) siding and installed brand new James Hardie Shake 7" siding.  

The homeowner is very happy with the project and the crew.  

Here was a customer who knew exactly what he wanted.  He chose the CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingle in Max. Def. Pewterwood color which has a lifetime warranty and wanted all of his sheathing replaced.  He figured if his roof had a lifetime warranty the underdecking should be new too!  We added a beautiful sunburst design to his copper chimney flashing as well. Not only do we have a satisfied customer, we have a new friend as well!

We met Cindy and Stan back in 2003.  Our first project with them was to replace a storm door.  From there we've installed new windows, siding and a roof.  All over a period of 13 years!  Our customers become a part of the Double R family and we've been proud to serve them since 1960.

We originally won an award for the siding installed on this home in Mamaroneck back in the late 90's.  When the new homeowners decided they needed a new roof, Double R was their first call.  We have worked with Rich & Karen on many projects - roofing, siding repair, new skylights, etc.  It has been a pleasure building a relationship with our customers.

When the new owners of my childhood home came to Double R needing a new roof, I knew I would be able to help them not only with the roof but also add some beautiful detail to their 1970's style home.  We installed a CertainTeed Northgate Roof in Resawn Shake color.  CertainTeed's NorthGate SBS modified asphalt shingle is unmatched by standard asphalt shingles. When we received a call from Chicago, Illinois for new windows we were a little confused.  As it turned out Connie was calling on behalf of her mother Mary who lived in Tuckahoe, NY.

Will called Double R A Construction Corp. to help him solve a leak that he had since the construction of his home.  He tried many other contractors but no one was able to solve the issue.

We were able to meet with Will the next day and diagnose exactly what was going on with his leak situation.  From that first phone call requesting help,  our first meeting and scheduling the repair, our homeowner had his leak solved in less than a week.

Double R A Construction Corp. did John's roof back in 2009.  So it had been a while since we spoke.  John called Double R out to seal his stone chimney on his home in Pound Ridge, NY.

It is very rare to never meet the client with whom you are dealing.  But this is the case with our customer Will in Bedford.  He and his family were overseas in Japan when they decided to have their roof done.

Double R A Construction Corp was called out by Melissa in the fall of 2021 to her Rye Brook, NY home.  She was having skylight leaks despite her roof being new.  We were able to help Melissa by installing new flashing around her existing skylights and new shingles to complete the repair.

Now it is March 2022 and Melissa calls us in panic.  She noticed a brand new leak in her kitchen.  We were able to go right out and inspect her roof.  The leak required a minor repair, which we were able to do on the spot.

Anthony G. Greg called us after a big rain storm about a leak in his Port Chester, NY home that others had not been able to solve.

Sergio, our leak specialist her at Double R A Construciton Corp., went out right away to inspect the roof and see what was going on.  We found the problem to be where the roof met an existing wall as well as the flashing around some windows.

Lisa called us in a panic.  A large truck had driven by her Dobbs Ferry home and pulled down some wires.  Not only were the wires down, the cornerpost and some siding were damaged in the process.

Melissa from Rye Brook, NY came to Double R A Construction Corp. after she had gotten her roof done by another contractor.  Ever since the roof was done she had a problem with leaky skylights.  

Our recommendation to Melissa was to replace all the skylights because the original contractor had installed the roof around the skylights incorrectly, making holes in the copper flashing that was designed to keep the skylights mechanically watertight.

When you are replacing your roof it is always wise to invest in new skylights as they become the weakest area on the new roof.

Double R A Construction Corp. was called by Greg in Port Chester, New York.  Greg had a leak that would only show up in certain conditions.  

We sent our leak specialist out to take a look and see what was going on.  We found the flashing where the sunroom porch roof connects to the main wall of the house was incomplete.  

We were able to complete the repair and now Greg has peace of mind that the leak issue was solved.

We had helped Matt with an ice damming issue on his home a few years ago.  When he noticed a leak near his chimney he knew to give Double R a call.  We came out and inspected the chimney and explained that the mortar between the bricks needed repointing and the chimney top needed to be redone.  This is a common issue that allows water penetration.  To finish it all off we would apply a coat of professional weather sealer on the bricks to add another layer of protection.

Our homeowner, Matt called us because some window trim had come down in a storm.  

After careful inspection, we realized that the trim came down because the window trim underneath was rotted and would no longer hold and nails.

Our solution was to replace the rotted wood and install new aluminum capping for the window trim.

Matt was thrilled with the work Double R did on his home.  A problem solved and a house restored.

When our client gave us a call about a roof leak, we sent out our leak specialist. He has been with Double R A Construction Corp for over 25 years. He is extremely knowledgeable about leaks and all things roofing.

While inspecting the roof he found that the flashing around the chimney was old and needed to be redone. A simple cleaning up the joint and installing new cement caulk and the leak issue is solved.

A customer in Scarsdale wanted to refresh their home with new siding, a new roof and new windows. Double RA was happy to give them an updated look.

For siding we used cellular celect siding in the color Dune. The existing roof was replaced with CertainTeed Landmark Roofing in Burnt Sienna. We also installed a brand new deck, new gutters and leaders. To top it off we did replacement windows, with window frames custom made out of cellular PVC. This customer in Port Chester called Double R A Construction to replace their old bow window which was leaking. We installed a new energy, efficient replacement bow window, and during the install we uncovered a roof leak. Luckily Double R A Construction is well equipped for roof repair! We provided the homeowner with a beautiful custom standing seam metal roof, and they couldn't be happier.

Pat bought a beautiful home in Pleasantville, NY, but every winter their pipes would freeze. Pat finally called a local Westchester siding company, Double R A Construction, to investigate. Our team removed the vinyl siding and sheathing that covered the walls, and found that there was no insulation in one section of the wall. We installed brand new insulation, followed by plywood sheathing and added 1/2" rigid board insulation. Once we we ensured that the wall was properly insulated, we re-installed the original siding. An elderly couple in Goldens Bridge NY called Double R A wanting to give their home an update without losing its classic charm. A homeowner in Rye Brook NY was looking to sell their home, but first needed to replace their roof. They did what they usually do, and went with the cheapest contractor they could find.
